MPA Rana Afzal passes away

A Member of the Punjab Assembly from Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), Rana Afzal Hussain, passed away due to a heart attack.

He was laid to rest in his native village, Nangal Kaswala, after funeral prayers.

Rana Afzal Hussain, the elder brother of Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, and father of MNA Rana Ahmed Atiq Anwar, passed away due to a heart attack. He was 77 years old. The late legislator had been born in July 1947.

The deceased had served twice as a member of the National Assembly on PML-N ticket and also remained the Tehsil Nazim of Muridke.

His funeral prayers were offered at Rana Farmhouse in Muridke and his burial took place in his family graveyard in Nangal Kaswala.

Several prominent political figures, including President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed their condolences to Rana Tanveer on the death of his brother.
