On the release day of her new album Short n’ Sweet, Sabrina Carpenter found herself in a spontaneous TikTok Live that is now gaining traction online.
The interaction took place on a Soho street in New York City on Friday, August 23, when Carpenter crossed paths with Judi Jupiter, a street interviewer who unknowingly started filming the pop star.
“Are you on live?” Carpenter asked when she noticed the camera, to which Jupiter responded with a simple, “Yeah.” Despite her busy schedule, which included recent interviews with Jimmy Fallon, Zane Lowe, and an appearance on Chicken Shop Date, Carpenter decided to engage in an impromptu Q&A with Jupiter.

During the interaction, Jupiter encouraged Carpenter to promote her social media handles on her channel, @judijupiter, which has around 20,000 followers. In contrast, Carpenter boasts over 22 million followers on TikTok and nearly 39 million on Instagram.
The two exchanged questions, with Carpenter expressing curiosity about Jupiter's content. Jupiter, who focuses on interviewing “really cool people in Soho,” described her content as featuring “all the hot girls in Soho, and in Fire Island.”
Carpenter, intrigued by Jupiter’s story, learned that Jupiter was involved in Manhattan’s late ’70s nightlife, including go-go bars and the iconic Studio 54. The interaction culminated in Jupiter asking Carpenter about her new album.
When Carpenter revealed its title, Short n’ Sweet, and her identity, Jupiter seemed genuinely impressed, suggesting that Carpenter “say hi to my followers.” Carpenter obliged, expressing her admiration for Jupiter, saying, “I’m obsessed with you, honestly.”
The encounter has since become a viral moment, highlighting Carpenter’s down-to-earth nature and her ability to connect with fans and strangers alike.
