Security monitoring system for Chehlum, Data Urs reviewed

917 assemblies planned across the province

Provincial Health Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the central control room of the Home Department to assess security measures for the Chehlum as well as the Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri.

He was accompanied by Special Secretary Home Fazalur Rehman, Additional Secretary Usman Khalid, and other provincial officers.

During the visit, the minister reviewed the monitoring system in place for the events.

Officers from the Home Department provided a detailed briefing on the real-time monitoring and security arrangements being implemented across the province.

Salman Rafique emphasised that the security arrangements for the Chehlum processions and the Data Darbar Urs are being meticulously overseen throughout the province.

He assured that the Home Department officers are monitoring the situation 24/7 to ensure the safety of all participants.

"Fool-proof security measures have been put in place for the Chehlum of Karbala martyrs and the Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri," said Rafique.

He highlighted that a total of 514 processions and 917 assemblies are being held under tightened security arrangements.

Additionally, 43 companies of the Pakistan Army and Rangers are deployed across the province to maintain order.

Khawaja Salman Rafique instructed that all security personnel remain vigilant and on duty until the safe and peaceful return of all mourners.
