M.I.A. endorses Donald Trump for 2024 US Presidential Election following RFK Jr.'s backing

M.I.A. endorses Donald Trump for the 2024 Presidential Election, citing his ability to navigate the challenges ahead.

British rapper M.I.A. has publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared his support for Trump. On August 23, Kennedy Jr. appeared at a Trump rally, expressing his belief that Trump would "make America healthy again." The rally featured the Foo Fighters' song "My Hero," which the band did not authorize for use.

M.I.A., who previously criticized Trump in 2017, has taken a surprising turn in her stance. She tweeted, "Trump is going to ride America through the most challenging 4 years coming," and added her hope that Trump will focus on "pulling out weed" during his presidency. She further suggested that RFK Jr. would "inherit America when God is ready to replant and rebuild it righteously."

M.I.A.'s endorsement follows years of controversial statements, including her skepticism toward COVID-19 vaccines. She launched her own clothing brand, Ohmni, earlier this year, featuring items like a "tin foil hat" claimed to block 5G waves, which she promoted during an appearance on InfoWars.

The rapper's latest endorsement has drawn attention due to her previous support for progressive causes, marking a significant shift in her political alignments. Both Trump and Kennedy Jr.'s campaigns have yet to comment on M.I.A.'s endorsement.
