Lana Del Rey encountered technical difficulties during her performance at Reading Festival on Saturday night, which led some fans to leave after just four songs.

The 39-year-old artist, who took the stage 15 minutes behind schedule, faced criticism over her "depressing" setlist.

Opening with "Norman F****** Rockwell," Lana proceeded with tracks like "Arcadia," "Without You," and "West Coast." However, her performance was hampered by sound issues, as her singing was drowned out by loud "techno" music from another stage.

Attendees voiced their frustration, with the crowd chanting "turn it up, turn it up!" as they struggled to hear the music. According to a source quoted by MailOnline, "She looked amazing, and the set was castle-themed, but unfortunately, it was so quiet we could barely hear, and the bass from the other stage drowned her out."

The source added that Lana asked the crowd, "Can you hear me over that techno?" and that many fans left after four songs, citing the setlist as being too downbeat for the festival atmosphere.

Despite the audience’s eagerness for her performance, the overall vibe failed to resonate with the crowd. Many felt the selection of songs did not suit the festival's energy, leading to a muted response.

Representatives for Lana Del Rey and Festival Republic have been approached for comment.

Following Lana’s set, Fred again.. took to the main stage, marking his first UK headline performance. Meanwhile, festivalgoers at Reading persevered through heavy rain, while the Leeds site faced disruptions due to severe weather conditions.
