In a recent interview, the 25-year-old singer and actress described their relationship as "on and off," quelling speculation that they had parted ways. This comes after a gossip website, DeuxMoi, shared an anonymous tip suggesting that the couple had broken up.

Carpenter expressed her admiration for Keoghan, calling him a "great actor" and recounting the positive experience of working with him on her music video for "Please, Please, Please." She humorously reiterated this sentiment during the interview, saying in a nasal voice, "Such a great actor," underscoring her respect for his talent.

The breakup rumors were further fueled by a report from The Sun, which claimed that the couple had ended their relationship three weeks prior due to Keoghan's behavior when intoxicated. A source cited by the publication stated, "Barry acts like an idiot when he is drunk, and Sabrina was getting increasingly frustrated."

Despite these claims, Keoghan appeared to dismiss the speculation by liking a post of Carpenter promoting her album Short n’ Sweet shortly after the rumors surfaced. Carpenter also acknowledged the challenges of being in the public eye, stating, "I want to just write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl. But it comes with the territory."
