Rain for some, heat and humidity for others across the country

Most regions expected to experience hot and humid weather with scattered thunderstorms forecast for remaining areas

Most regions of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Scattered thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds are anticipated in parts of Sindh, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eastern Balochistan, eastern Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, and Azad Kashmir.

From August 25, southeastern lower Sindh is forecast to receive heavy downpours, with the possibility of flash floods in low-lying areas due to intense rainfall.

The Meteorological Department has warned of potential disruptions to daily activities, including damage to weak infrastructure such as mud houses, walls, electricity poles, billboards, vehicles, and solar panels. Road closures are also anticipated.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather is expected to remain humid with partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of light rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

In most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, partly cloudy weather is expected. However, isolated showers with strong winds and thunderstorms are likely in Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Kohat, Waziristan, and Kurram.
