Bodycam footage from DaniLeigh’s DUI hit-and-run arrest in May 2023 has been released, revealing the R&B singer's attempt to leverage her celebrity status to avoid arrest.

The footage, obtained by TMZ, captures DaniLeigh visibly drunk and pleading with Miami police not to arrest her while denying involvement in any collision.

Despite her claims, DaniLeigh did hit a 17-year-old. Additional police footage shows her driving away from the scene and only being stopped after multiple attempts by authorities. Nearby witnesses confirmed that she did not stop after the accident.

When interacting with officers later, DaniLeigh repeatedly denied hitting anyone. In one instance, she becomes emotional and mentions being with rapper Quavo, who appears briefly in the video with his security team.

As she is escorted away in handcuffs, DaniLeigh can be heard crying and insisting, “I didn’t hit nobody.” A Breathalyzer test later showed her blood alcohol content was nearly double the legal limit.

After her arrest, DaniLeigh faced multiple charges, including DUI, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI causing property damage. She pleaded no contest in February to a misdemeanor DUI charge and a felony charge for DUI causing serious injury. All other charges are expected to be dropped if she completes her five-year probation. DaniLeigh’s attorney, Michael Catalano, contended that the victim was at fault for the accident.
