Indian actor Nagarjuna's convention centre bulldozed by authorities

HYDRAA ordered demolition of the 10-acre Convention Center, owned by South Indian film industry superstar Nagarjuna

The 10-acre N Convention Center, owned by South Indian film industry superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni, has been demolished by a bulldozer after several years of investigation.

According to Indian media, the demolition of Nagarjuna's 10-acre N Convention Center has begun on the orders of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HYDRAA).

The report stated that the convention center is being demolished due to encroachments, and the action is being carried out under the directives of local authorities.

Actor Nagarjuna has been accused of illegally constructing the convention center. The complaint alleged that the actor encroached on a part of the Thammidi Kunta Lake to build his N Convention Center. Upon receiving the complaint, officials from the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HYDRAA) initiated an investigation.

The N Convention Center, built on 10 acres of land, had been under investigation for several years. According to government records, the Thammidi Kunta Lake covers an area of approximately 29.24 acres, while the actor allegedly occupied about 1.12 acres of the lake and an additional 2 acres of buffer zone land to construct the convention center.

The report also mentioned that the complainant, Bhaskar Reddy, had demanded that HYDRAA authorities take action against the actor and restore the lake.

Indian media further reported that police personnel have been deployed, and Nagarjuna's convention center is being demolished, with all roads leading to the convention center currently closed.

As of now, no statement has been issued by the actor Nagarjuna regarding the matter.
