IHC criticises government indifference in missing brothers’ case
The Islamabad High Court has condemned the inadequacy shown by government agencies in the case of two missing brothers, expressing deep concern over their lack of action.
The court issued a written order during the hearing of the case involving Azhar Mashwani’s two brothers, who have been missing since 6th June.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, who issued the one-page order, highlighted the government's inadequate response, noting that the Additional Attorney General mentioned the Attorney General might discuss the matter with the Prime Minister.
However, the court expressed little hope that the country’s Chief Executive would address the issue.
The court described the behaviour of the concerned parties as disappointing and has scheduled the case for the next hearing before an available bench.
The petitioner's lawyer had already presented partial arguments.
