FIR lodged against PTI lawmaker and party leaders for ‘firing at police’ in Islamabad
A case was registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Arbab Amir Ayub and local party leaders after a violent clash with police in Tarnol, Islamabad.
The incident involved firing and stoning, leading to charges against 40 individuals, including the MNA.
The case, lodged at the CTD Police Station by Tarnol’s Station House Officer (SHO), cites multiple offences under 11 ATA and 16 other sections of the law.
According to the police report, the protesting PTI supporters raised slogans against the government, fired at police, and forced shopkeepers to close their businesses.
The situation escalated when the demonstrators refused to disperse, leading to the violent confrontation.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with efforts underway to apprehend the suspects.
