Awami Express bogie derails

The Awami Express train en route from Lahore to Karachi encountered an accident at Lahore Railway Station when its AC Business Class bogie number 5 derailed on the platform.

The incident caused damage to the platform. However, no casualties were reported.

The derailment delayed the train by over three hours as railway authorities struggled to get the bogie back on track. Due to a lack of spare bogies, the train departed for Karachi without the business class carriage.

Meanwhile, frustrated passengers of the Awami Express protested against the delay and the inconvenience caused by the incident.
