KARACHI:

City Mayor Murtaza Wahab has said that negative portrayal of the megalopolis does not reflect the true situation on ground. While speaking at the inauguration of the Jumbo Jump attraction at Safari Park on Friday, he highlighted the existing attractions at the park, which include a zipline, adventure facilities, horse riding, a playground, and a safari area.

"These attractions are offered at affordable rates to ensure that they are accessible to ordinary citizens," he said and encouraged Karachiites to invest in local projects rather than seeking opportunities abroad, promoting community involvement in the city's development.

The mayor also stressed the importance of expanding recreational facilities in Karachi, with plans to introduce more amenities in the future. He announced that the Sindh government has allocated Rs110 billion in the budget specifically for Karachi's infrastructure development, with a commitment to transparency in the allocation and use of these funds. Moreover, he assured that road repairs would start immediately following the monsoon rains.
