Ashanti and Nelly revel in parenthood after welcoming son

New parents Ashanti and Nelly are basking in the joy of welcoming their son, Kareem Kenkaide "KK" Haynes, into the world in July. Nelly recently shared his admiration for Ashanti's parenting abilities, while Ashanti revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Nelly suggested their son's meaningful name, which honours her father.

Ashanti proudly showcased her postpartum body on Instagram, sharing a video of herself in Frida Mom's postpartum underwear. She also expressed her excitement about motherhood, calling it a lifelong dream.

The couple announced their pregnancy and engagement in April, shortly after confirming they had rekindled their romance. It was later revealed they had already privately married in December 2023.

As for baby KK's resemblance, Ashanti playfully noted that while he initially looked more like Nelly, he's now her twin!
