King Charles III has given an update on his cancer treatment, saying he's "not too bad" while visiting with families affected by a knife attack in Southport. The 75-year-old monarch has been undergoing treatment since his diagnosis in February.
During the visit, Charles was asked how he was doing amid his ongoing cancer treatment. He replied, "I'm not too bad," according to Express. This update comes after Charles lost his sense of taste amid his chemotherapy treatment in May.
The King's return to public-facing duties has been gradual, with him taking a step back following his initial diagnosis. However, he has been making appearances with his wife Queen Camilla, including a visit to London's University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in April.
The royal family has received an outpouring of support from around the world, with Buckingham Palace expressing gratitude for the kindness shown to Charles and his family. The Palace noted that Charles is "very grateful to his medical team for their continued care and expertise."
Both Charles and Kate Middleton, who is also undergoing cancer treatment, have been making more public appearances in recent months. Kate and her husband Prince William attended Wimbledon in July, while she also made a surprise appearance in a video during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite the challenges they have faced, the royal family has shown support for each other, with Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson saying to Hello Magazine, "I think family unity is key. I love that the royal family are all supporting each other and carry on."
