Drugs worth over Rs20 million seized by ANF

RAWALPINDI, PAKISTAN:

Drugs worth over Rs20 million were seized in Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) operations, Express News reported.

According to ANF spokesperson, anti-drug smuggling operations are ongoing across the country. During four different operations, 234 kilogrammes of drugs worth over Rs20 million were recovered, and five suspects were arrested.

On the M1 Motorway in Islamabad, 123.6 kilogrammes of opium and 108 kilogrammes of hashish were seized from a vehicle, and two suspects were arrested.

At Kamalpur Interchange in Faisalabad, 1.5 kilogrammes of heroin were recovered from a woman, while 400 grams of ice (crystal meth) were seized from a suspect near Hub River Road, Karachi.

Additionally, 200 grams of hashish were recovered from a suspect near a university in Karachi.

Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have begun.
