Woman jumps from 2nd floor to escape assault
A young woman jumped from the second floor of a flat in a desperate bid to protect her dignity in Sector E-11/2 in the federal capital. She was rushed to PIMS Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the jump.
The victim, who named herself as NK and is a resident of Islamgarh, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, reported that an acquaintance, Shakeela, sister of Shaan alias Shani, had contacted her three or four days ago and invited her to Islamabad under the pretence of exploring the city.
Upon NK's arrival at flat number 210 on the second floor of Medical Society Crown Plaza in Sector E-11, she alleged that Shani seized her phone and cash worth Rs50,000, refusing to return them despite repeated requests. Instead, they repeatedly coerced her into committing adultery, using blackmail and manipulation. Feeling trapped and desperate, she eventually jumped from the second-floor flat.
Police have registered a case under sections 380, 342, and 354 PPC and have started the investigation. According to police sources, the investigation will determine whether Shaan, the primary accused, is involved in an organised blackmailing ring targeting innocent girls. Initial findings suggest that Shaan operates a massage centre.
