Gates Foundation official concerned over food crisis
Dr Nabeel Goheer, the Chief of Asia, Middle East, and Europe at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's PATH, has called for accelerated efforts to combat the ongoing food and nutrition crises.
He made these
remarks while addressing the concluding session of a two-week training workshop for newly inducted faculty members at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF).
Dr Goheer emphasised the urgent need to support vulnerable populations, particularly in the context of Pakistan's rapidly growing population.
He highlighted the Foundation's active role in addressing vaccination and health issues in Pakistan and mentioned the launch of a nutrition program across various South Asian countries.
Dr Khan expressed concern over the widespread issue of malnutrition, which affects 40% of the population.
