There were risks of canal breaches and further damage to the drainage systems as cracks had developed in these facilities in the aftermath of the recent monsoon rains. However, in his visit to the Naseerabad area, Balochistan Minister of Irrigation Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, was assured that the damage had been repaired and further work was under way. He visited the area with Provincial Irrigation Secretary Hafiz Abdul Majid to assess the impact of recent monsoon rains and the resulting flood situation in the division.

During the visit, Minister Umrani held a meeting with the divisional administration, where Commissioner Naseerabad Division, Moinur Rahman Khan, provided a detailed briefing on the current flood situation and the measures being taken to manage the monsoon's effects. The briefing highlighted the challenges faced by the region, including the risk of canal breaches and damage to drainage systems.
