The Washington Commanders are set to shake up their receiving corps by trading wide receiver Jahan Dotson to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The trade involves Dotson and a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in exchange for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks from the same draft.

Dotson, who was the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has struggled to meet expectations during his first two seasons with the Commanders, recording 84 receptions for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Reporter Ari Meirov noted that there had been indications of discontent between Dotson and the Commanders, which ultimately led to the trade within the division.
Jahan Dotson was mentioned in this video from earlier today on @NFL__Spotlight.... Something has been fishy in Washington with Dotson, and it reached a point where they were willing to trade him within the division to Philadelphia. https://t.co/XTvBruDKfe

With Dotson's departure, rookie Luke McCaffrey and fourth-year pro Dyami Brown are expected to step up in Washington's offence.
Dotson now returns to Pennsylvania, where he played his college football at Penn State, and will face his former team on Thursday Night Football on 14 November.
