Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn, famous for their roles on Scandal, are set to reunite as hosts for the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC). The convention will be held from August 19-22 in Chicago.
Goldwyn, who played President Fitzgerald Grant on Scandal, will host the first night of the convention on Monday. Washington, who starred as crisis manager Olivia Pope, will take the stage on Thursday, the final night of the event, when Kamala Harris is expected to accept the Democratic presidential nomination.

The convention also featured hosts Mindy Kaling and Ana Navarro on subsequent nights. Performances by John Legend and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were highlights, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, known for her role as a vice president on Veep, hosted a panel with female governors. The Obamas delivered speeches, and there was speculation about possible surprise performances by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.
