Cristiano Ronaldo sets world record with new YouTube channel
Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers ever, has embarked on a new chapter in his career.
After dominating football for nearly two decades, Ronaldo has ventured into content creation by launching his YouTube channel, 'UR Cristiano'.
Just hours after the announcement, Ronaldo broke a world record by becoming the fastest person to reach 1 million subscribers on the platform. Additionally, within 24 hours, his subscriber count soared to 10 million, setting another world record.
Ronaldo is already one of the most followed individuals on social media, boasting 112.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), 170 million on Facebook, and 636 million on Instagram.
On Wednesday, Ronaldo shared on his social media accounts, "The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey," signaling the beginning of his new venture.
Ronaldo's YouTube channel debut included videos such as a teaser trailer, a fun quiz game with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a clip of him meeting his wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
The previous record for reaching 10 million subscribers on YouTube was held by Hamster Kombat, which achieved the milestone in 7 days. Ronaldo's channel has already surpassed 12 million subscribers and continues to grow at an unprecedented rate.
