As tensions simmer between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Punjab government, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is set to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to address grievances raised by Punjab party leaders.
Sources revealed that in a late-night meeting, PPP Punjab leaders, including Raja Pervez Ashraf and Hassan Murtaza, expressed their frustrations over stalled development projects and a lack of cooperation from the provincial administration.
Party members complained that the Punjab government was ignoring their elected representatives and failing to progress on written agreements.
They speculated that the provincial administration might have received specific instructions regarding the PPP, leading to deliberate sidelining.
Bilawal reportedly expressed surprise and concern over the Punjab government’s conduct and assured the delegation that he would discuss these issues with PM Shehbaz during their scheduled meeting today.
The prime minister is also expected to host a dinner in Bilawal's honour following their discussions.
