Jennifer Lopez’s ex Alex Rodriguez responds to Ben Affleck divorce in cryptic social media post

Alex Rodriguez is adding to the buzz surrounding Jennifer Lopez's divorce from Ben Affleck. 

After months of rumors about their troubled marriage, Lopez officially filed for divorce on the couple's second wedding anniversary in Georgia, citing April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.

Rodriguez, who was once engaged to Lopez, fueled speculation with a cryptic Instagram story shortly after news of the filing broke. He shared a quote about making significant decisions that read, "You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction."

Rodriguez and Lopez started dating in 2017, got engaged in 2019, but parted ways in 2021 before getting married. Despite their split, Rodriguez has previously spoken positively about Lopez. In a 2022 interview with Page Six, he described their relationship as a "good experience" and expressed well-wishes for Lopez and her children, Emme and Maximilian.

Rodriguez has not made any direct comments on Lopez's recent divorce filing.
