The Sindh government has waived the late payment penalty for Arms Licence Fees for the years 2001 to 2010. According to the home department on Friday, the period of this relaxation is three months after which the fine shall be charged as usual. Licences found defaulting on taxes for the last five years shall be treated as cancelled and weapons liable to be confiscated, said the notification issued with the signature of Waseem Ahmed, the additional chief secretary of Sindh’s home department.
