Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa, and Benson Boone among performers for 2024 MTV Video Music Awards
The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards have announced an exciting lineup of performers, including Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa of Blackpink, and Benson Boone. The event, set to take place on September 11 at New York's UBS Arena, promises a night of star-studded performances.
Halsey is expected to debut a song from their upcoming fifth album, while Lenny Kravitz will make his first appearance at the VMAs in 25 years, performing live and competing for best rock. Lisa, who is nominated for four awards, including best K-pop and best choreography, and Benson Boone, who is up for three categories, including best new artist, will both make their performance debuts at this year’s event.
Earlier, it was announced that Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, and Rauw Alejandro will also take the stage. This year marks the first main stage appearances for Roan, Carpenter, GloRilla, and Alejandro. Sabrina Carpenter leads the pack with six nominations, including artist of the year and song of the year for "Espresso."
The 2024 VMAs will also honor Katy Perry with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award. Perry, who last performed on the MTV stage seven years ago, will return to deliver a medley of her greatest hits.
The show, originally scheduled for September 10, was moved to September 11 to avoid clashing with the U.S. presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The event will also recognize the 23rd anniversary of 9/11.
The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
