Election Commission issues updated list of political Parties; PTI chairman’s name missing

The Election Commission of Pakistan has released an updated list of registered political parties, but the position of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman remains vacant.

The list, which now includes 166 registered political parties, was made public on Wednesday.

According to the updated list, the Election Commission has recognised the intra-party elections of several political parties.

Notably, Nawaz Sharif has been confirmed as the president of Pakistan Muslim League (N), and Naeem ur Rehman Khan has been listed as the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Mahmood Khan’s name has been updated as the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians.

However, the name of the PTI chairman has not been updated, leaving the position vacant.

The commission also confirmed Asif Ali Zardari as the president of Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari as the chairman of the Pakistan People's Party.
