A man claiming to be affiliated with the Sinaloa drug cartel has filed a defamation lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Bad Boy Entertainment, alleging that their actions damaged his illegal drug operations.

The lawsuit, submitted in the Southern District of New York, was dismissed by Chief U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain on August 12.

Incarcerated in Colorado, Alfredo P. Gonzalez sought $666,000 in damages, claiming that Combs and his team had tarnished his reputation within New York’s criminal network. Gonzalez alleged that his problems began when he refused Combs’ supposed requests to traffic minors for parties, leading to threats and the loss of his drug business connections in New York.

Judge Swain dismissed the case on the grounds that Gonzalez had no legal standing to sue, as his injuries were related to illegal activities not protected by law. The court deemed the claims frivolous and lacking any legal or factual basis. Gonzalez’s request to amend his complaint was denied, with the judge stating that the issues in the lawsuit could not be remedied through amendment.

Diddy has faced a wave of controversy and legal issues recently, with multiple individuals accusing him of sexual assault. This has prompted a federal investigation, with reports indicating that authorities are exploring possible sex trafficking charges.
