Poultry industry: Experts for controlling intestinal disease

Mortality from the disease can reach 10% of the flock.

FAISALABAD:

Poultry farmers should adopt extensive measures to control a bacterial disease of intestinal tract among chicken, which causes sudden death of the bird. This was stated in a study conducted by poultry experts Dr Sajid Umar of the Department of Pathology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Dr Arif Mahmood, Technical Manager Sadaat International.

Mortality from the disease called Necrotic Enteritis in untreated flocks can reach 10 per cent or more and it is most common among broilers.
