Kidnappers demanding Rs20 million ransom for the release of Jamil Rind who was abducted on August 10

The abductors of Jamil Rind, son of Assistant Jail Superintendent Ishaq Rind, have released a video showing him being shot to pressure his family.

Jamil was kidnapped on August 10 near Shah Latif University in Khairpur, with the abductors demanding a ransom of Rs20 million.

The video, circulated on social media, shows Jamil being shot in the leg.

The captors released this footage to increase their demands and force the family to meet the ransom requirement. In another video, Jamil pleads for his life, saying, “The abductors have broken my leg today. If the ransom is not paid, they will kill me.”

The footage ends with a gunshot and Jamil collapsing.

Police officials have confirmed that efforts are underway to secure Jamil's release and are hopeful for a resolution.

The release of these videos has led to protests from the Rind community, calling for swift action from authorities to ensure Jamil’s return and hold the perpetrators accountable.
