Pindi goes all-out with security for Pak-BD cricket series

The Rawalpindi Police has completed security arrangements for the Pakistan Bangladesh Cricket Series matches.

The first test match of the cricket series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will yesterday. The Rawalpindi Police has completed security arrangements to ensure security during cricket matches. Around 4,500 police officers and personnel will be deployed to perform security duty.

Additionally, the food street in the outer premises of the stadium will remain closed to ensure security. The Metro bus service will be completely closed during the movement of the teams, while during the matches, three stations of the Metro bus service from Rehmanabad to Faizabad will remain closed for passengers.

SSP Operations, Hafiz Kamran Asghar will be responsible for supervision, while overall supervision will be done by Rawalpindi CPO, Khalid Hamdani himself. Expert snipers will also be deployed on the roofs around the route and stadium. Khalid Hamdani said that more than 4,000 officers and personnel of the district police will perform security duties, while more than 350 traffic police officers and personnel will also be deployed to maintain the flow of traffic.
