Pakistan has successfully conducted a training launch of its surface-to-surface ballistic missile, Shaheen-II, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The launch on Tuesday was aimed at training troops, validating technical parameters, and evaluating the performance of various sub-systems designed to improve accuracy and enhance survivability.

Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organisations, witnessed the training launch.

The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division commended the technical expertise and unwavering dedication of the scientists and engineers involved, describing the event as a "landmark achievement."

In a show of national support, the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the chairman joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC), and the services chiefs all extended their congratulations to the team of scientists and engineers for their successful execution of the test.
