Hailey Welch, known as "The Hawk Tuah Girl," recently met popular Twitch streamer Kylie Cox, also known as Sketch, and shared the encounter in a video on her Instagram.

The meeting quickly attracted attention for its awkward moments. Welch, born in 2002, appeared shy when Cox, famous for his catchphrase "What's up, brother?" asked her to say her own well-known phrase.

The situation became even more uncomfortable when Sketch mistakenly stated that Welch was from Louisiana. After she corrected him, saying she’s from Tennessee, Sketch responded with, "close but no cigar," only to be surprised when Welch admitted she had never heard of the phrase.

This led to astonishment online, with one user on X, formerly Twitter, asking, "How has someone her age never heard the saying ‘close but no cigar’?"

Welch, who recently has faced criticism from the baseball community following her recent appearance at a New York Mets game where she threw out the first pitch, addressed the backlash. She explained that the main reason she agreed to the opportunity was to raise awareness for America's VetDogs.

Meanwhile, Sketch is now focused on repairing his public image after explicit content from his past OnlyFans account resurfaced, causing controversy earlier this year.
