The cast and crew of Beetlejuice 2 recently attended high-profile photocalls in New York City and Mexico City, generating excitement for the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 classic. Director Tim Burton, along with stars Michael Keaton, Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, made appearances at both events, held on August 13 in Mexico City and later in New York City.

In Beetlejuice 2, Keaton reprises his iconic role as the mischievous ghost Beetlejuice, while Ryder and O’Hara return as Lydia and Delia Deetz, respectively. Joining the original cast are Jenna Ortega, who plays Lydia’s daughter, Astrid Deetz, and new cast members Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe. Bellucci portrays Delores, Beetlejuice’s ex-wife, a fresh addition to the franchise.

During the New York City photocall, the cast posed together, with Ortega prominently featured as a key new character in the film. The Mexico City event, held just a week earlier, also saw enthusiastic participation from the cast. Tim Burton, known for his whimsical style, was seen playfully interacting with costumed characters during the event, with Keaton following suit.

Beetlejuice 2, officially titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024. The film has generated significant buzz as it reunites the original team with new additions to the cast. The sequel is expected to blend the nostalgic charm of the original with new storylines and characters.
