Caine Bacon, a contestant from Love Island USA Season 6, revealed that he was removed from the reunion episode.

Bacon had been sharing updates about his trip to New York City on social media as he prepared for the reunion taping. However, he later announced that he did not attend the event, stating, “It isn’t” when asked if the reunion was canceled, and adding, “I mean, I’ve been cancelled from it lol.”

Leading up to the reunion, Bacon posted videos on TikTok with fellow Love Island USA star Aaron Evans. TikTok user Soogia highlighted a controversy that may have led to Bacon’s removal, pointing out that in one now-deleted video, Bacon used a phrase inappropriately and laughed about it, suggesting he was aware of the inappropriateness.

The video also featured Bacon mispronouncing the restaurant name Nangman BBQ, making a reference to “Gangnam Style,” and mocking chopsticks. Additionally, Bacon ended the video with “Love you long time,” a phrase from Full Metal Jacket that fetishizes Asian women.

Since being excluded from the show, Bacon has criticized how he was portrayed on social media, claiming the edit did not reflect his true self. The Love Island USA Season 6 finale, which will feature the reunion, is scheduled to air on August 19 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Peacock. Deadline has contacted Peacock for a comment on the situation.
