Skai Jackson, a former Disney Channel star, has reappeared on social media following her arrest on August 8 at Universal Studios in California. Jackson, 22, was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic battery. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that deputies responded to a call from theme park security after an alleged altercation involving Jackson. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Jackson pushing the victim, but no weapons or injuries were involved, according to the sheriff's department.
Jackson was briefly held at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station before being released. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office has since decided not to pursue charges, citing insufficient evidence to bring the case to trial, as reported by TMZ.
On August 16, Jackson shared a TikTok video standing outside a shopping center, holding a Givenchy shopping bag. "Never depend on a man for anything," she stated in the video, adding, "Period!" She also encouraged fans to follow her on Snapchat. Jackson, dressed in a gray sweatsuit, captioned the video, "The rich & expensive way! Add me on Snapchat Skaijackk for more."
Jackson, known for her role as Zuri Ross on Jessie and its spinoff Bunk'd, has been active in her career beyond Disney. In 2019, she released her book Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower and Clapback and competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2020. She recently promoted her upcoming horror film, The Man in the White Van, which is scheduled for release on October 11.
