Could Mehwish Hayat be on Emily in Paris?
Is Mehwish Hayat about to wow us on Emily in Paris? For Pakistani fans of the hit Netflix show, the Ms Marvel actor dropped a major hint on Instagram in a carousel of three photos to spice things up!
"It was wonderful catching up with the charming Lucas Bravo and my partner-in-crime producer Stephen Joel Brown on the sets of the new season," wrote Hayat, captioning a photo herself on the Emily in Paris set alongside actor Lucas Bravo, who plays dreamy chef turned restaurateur Gabriel opposite Lily Collins' Emily.
"Super thrilled for today's season premiere of Emily in Paris. Break a leg guys!" continued Hayat. Adding a teaser for her fans, she wrapped up her caption with the cryptic hint, "Meanwhile who knows, just maybe Gabriel's love life could use a dash of Pakistani spice next season!"
Hayat also posted a picture of herself being flanked on either side by Bravo and series producer Brown, before concluding with one final snap featuring her and Bravo again.
"Oh wow, this is amazing!" commented one fan. "Looking forward." Echoing similar sentiments, another fan penned, "Waiting anxiously!" as another conveyed their excitement with a simple "Woohooo" alongside a heart emoji and a fire emoji.
The first part of Emily in Paris season 4, consisting of episodes 1-5 dropped on the streaming platform on August 15. As per USA Today, the first five episodes are packed with drama, fashion and a twist no one saw coming. Part two of the season comprising episodes 6-10, however, will not be released on Netflix until September 12, so fans have a bit of a wait before all their questions are answered.
According to the show's star Lily Collins, this is the year Emily becomes the most vulnerable. "Emily feels more feelings ? everyone feels more feelings this year," Collins said about season 4. "There's more honesty and openness within all of the situations they're going through."
If, as she has teased on Instagram, Hayat does appear in a cameo on the show, it will not be the first time she will appear before an international audience. In 2022, she played the role of Aisha in Disney's Ms Marvel. Most recently, on home ground, Hayat starred in the Eid release Daghabaaz Dil. In the meantime, whether or not Hayat adds a dash of Pakistani spice to Gabriel's love life on Emily in Paris remains to be seen.
