Man killed in a road accident in Islamabad after collision with Chinese national's vehicle

The incident took place on the road in front of Mehran Gate, F-9 Park, in the New Blue Area along Jinnah Avenue.

ISLAMABAD:

A young man was killed in an accident involving a Chinese national's vehicle within the jurisdiction of Margalla Police Station on Sunday.

According to details, the accident occurred when the tyre of the Chinese citizen's car burst, causing the vehicle to veer off course and hit the young man.

The incident took place on the road in front of Mehran Gate, F-9 Park, in the New Blue Area along Jinnah Avenue.

The deceased has been identified as Waliullah, a resident of Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He was approximately 22 to 23 years old. The Chinese national involved in the accident sustained injuries.

Earlier on June 10, six people died in a collision between a cement mixer and a car on the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway near Kallar Kahar.

The incident occurred due to a brake failure in the cement mixer, causing it to lose control and collide with an oncoming car. The truck crushed the car, and both vehicles caught fire, burning all occupants, sources said.

At least seven family members lost their lives when a Toyota HiAce van travelling from Swabi to Islamabad plunged into a 200-feet deep ravine in Haripur on July 7.

The incident, attributed to high speed and poor weather conditions, occurred late at night, leaving eleven others seriously injured, with two in critical condition.

Meanwhile, on June 3, two passengers were killed and three others injured, including two children, after a speeding car fell into a ravine in the Ghora Gali area near Danah, witnesses and rescuers said.

The ill-fated family from Rawalpindi was travelling to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to attend a wedding ceremony.

Four Rescue 1122 ambulances rushed to scene and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital. 45-year-old Ishaq and 32-year-old Aamir were pronounced dead at the scene.
