SHO suspended for torture

The SHO of Meer Hazar police station, Hamza Gafoor, was suspended of carrying out a biased investigation and torturing suspects after a man and his son were arrested for allegedly stealing solar plates from the property of a landlord in Muzaffargarh.

The DPO took notice of the complaint of Muhammad Fiaz Bhutta and ordered re-initiation of an impartial inquiry into the case.

Adter suspending the SHO, the DPO marked the inquiry to a DSP to proceed on merit.
