Lewis Capaldi surprised London moviegoers on Thursday by treating them to free drinks and snacks. The 27-year-old Scottish singer visited Vue Leicester Square to watch It Ends With Us, a film featuring his song "Love The Hell Out Of You." After the screening, Capaldi posed for photos with fans and generously bought popcorn for everyone.

It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, a florist who falls for neurosurgeon Ryle (Justin Baldoni, also the film’s director) years after losing touch with her first love, Atlas (Brandon Sklenar), who joined the military. When Ryle’s violent behavior raises concerns about potential abuse, Lily reconnects with Atlas for support.

Blake Lively expressed her excitement about Capaldi’s involvement, stating, “There was only one song for this moment. Once you see it, you’ll feel it for yourself. Lewis Capaldi is beloved for not only his brilliant work, but who he is. I couldn’t be more proud that he told this story with us.”

Capaldi’s cinema visit comes shortly after news of his breakup with girlfriend Ellie MacDowell after two years. A source told The Sun that the couple ended their relationship due to the challenges of maintaining their long-distance relationship. The insider noted that it was a mutual decision and that they remain friends.

The couple, who first confirmed their relationship in February 2023 at the BRITs after-party, kept their romance largely private. Since their breakup, Capaldi has been on a performance break following his Glastonbury set in June 2023, during which he struggled with his Tourette’s symptoms. Capaldi had taken a three-week mental health break to recover and admitted he was “s**t scared” to perform, but continued his set despite his struggles.

Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary tics and movements, affected Capaldi’s performance, but the support from fans created an emotional moment as they sang "Someone You Loved" for him.

Following the show, Capaldi shared on social media that he needs more time to manage his health and continue his passion for performing.
