Olivia Rodrigo returns to LA for GUTS World Tour: Why she thinks it's the ultimate foodie paradise
Olivia Rodrigo has a deep love for Los Angeles—so much so that she even created an entire collection of tank tops and hoodies dedicated to it.
After spending the last six months traveling for the GUTS World Tour, the 21-year-old singer is back in LA for a series of six arena concerts this month, and she couldn’t be happier to return home.
Between shows, she’s been visiting her favorite local spots, like Jon & Vinny’s on Fairfax for breakfast (which she highly recommends). She’s so fond of the city that she calls it “the best food city in the world.”
“I’m obsessed with LA for many reasons,” Rodrigo enthuses. “Best weather. Best food. I will live and die by that. Best sushi, best Mexican food... So good. It's just amazing. Dreams come true here.”
And LA seems to love her just as much. While she relaxes inside the GUTS popup at Complex LA on August 15, a line of fans wraps around the block, eagerly waiting to get in. Rodrigo’s first two albums, SOUR and GUTS, have deeply resonated with listeners, thanks to her candid songwriting that captures the thrilling, yet often chaotic, experiences of growing up. Onstage, her music becomes even more intense, with her band shredding guitar solos while she passionately belts out tracks like “all-american bitch.”
“I love making the audience scream,” she shares with a grin. “It just feels very cathartic.”
