Looks like a beloved character from the ton will be returning to Bridgerton.

Despite Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) heading to India with his wife Kate (Simone Ashley) at the end of season three, Bailey confirmed he will return for season four, just in time to see Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton find love.

"Obviously being the older brother," he told the crew at Good Morning America Aug. 16, "I'm gonna be there to support the youngsters as we go."

The actor mentioned he doesn’t yet know what’s in store for his character in the new season but is "looking forward to reading the script" and has "a couple of weeks etched out in my schedule for returning."

Bailey expressed his excitement about coming back to the series, acknowledging its special nature.

"The thing about Bridgerton which is so brilliant is that there's so many different ways that you can fall in love as humans," he explained, "and that's what the show will explore."

Regarding Luke Thompson taking over the leading role, Bailey is confident that Thompson is "gonna be stunning."

He’s also eager to see how Thompson’s Benedict will handle the role, noting that while Benedict can be quite sassy and juicy, he is also "full of wonder and joy."

"He's the beating heart of the family," the 36-year-old added. "It should be brilliant, I can't wait."

While fans await more details on the premiere of season four, they have learned that Yerin Ha will play Sophie Beckett, Benedict's love interest for the new season.
