Records that can be broken in the upcoming Pakistan-Bangladesh Test Series
Pakistan's cricket team is gearing up for their two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting on 21 August in Rawalpindi.
Several players have the opportunity to set new records during this ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is on the brink of a major milestone, needing just nine more wickets to become the first Pakistani to reach 100 wickets in the WTC.
Shaheen, who currently has 91 wickets from 24 Test matches, is among the elite bowlers eyeing this achievement.
In addition to shaheen, Test captain Shan Masood and vice-captain Saud Shakeel are also approaching significant batting milestones.
Masood is just 15 runs away from reaching 1,000 runs in the WTC, having scored 985 runs in 18 matches.
Shakeel, who has amassed 967 runs in 10 Tests, is also on the cusp of joining the 1,000-run club.
The second Test of the series will be played in Karachi at the National Stadium on 30 August.
