'KMC ready for new spell of rain'

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that in view of prediction of Pakistan Meteorological Department regarding new spell of rains starting tomorrow in Karachi, he issued instructed departments concerned to keep drainage machinery in a ready condition.

Wahab said that three big dewatering pumps, excavators, dumpers and small dewatering pumps have been delivered to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) head office. One dewatering pump will be placed outside the KMC head office, the second will be placed near the Merewether Tower on MA Jinnah Road and the third pump will be placed at the Governor House.
