‘SNL’ alum Victoria Jackson reveals inoperable tumor diagnosis, reflects on her life
Victoria Jackson, a former cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1992, has announced that she has been diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in her windpipe. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Jackson disclosed that doctors informed her the tumor cannot be surgically removed due to its location. "They cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe, and eventually would suffocate me to death," she stated.
Jackson, who has faced previous health challenges, including a breast cancer diagnosis in 2016, shared that she is receiving a new form of treatment. "They’re giving me a magic pill," she said, referring to a medication based on Ribociclib, which she hopes will shrink the tumor. Jackson added, "It’s going to be delivered to my front door within the next 12 hours… I looked up the pill on Google and it says people who take this have 32.6 months to live — something like that."
