Taylor Swift has been unintentionally caught up in Blake Lively's It Ends With Us controversy, with harsh critics accusing the actress of using the singer for "clout."

Online critics have noted that Taylor is one of Lively's closest friends and have unfairly associated her with some of the Gossip Girl star's actions.

Lively is reportedly in a rumored conflict with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni and has faced online backlash over several press interviews she's given, including an "uncomfortable" 2016 interview that left the journalist 'want to quit' her job.

“Blake Lively being a mean girl and everyone being shocked is so funny to me. She's best friends with Taylor Swift…” one wrote on X.

Another troll commented, “Blake Lively being best friends with Taylor Swift makes so much sense. I see Blake took some tips from Taylor using her "untouchable" fame and clout to try and make people turn on someone they view as competition. Too bad the public can see right through these things now.”

Another user on X claimed the pair were “both incredibly boring mediocre white women who receive far too much praise for doing the least.”

Swift has previously faced accusations of using shady tactics on the music charts to "sabotage" some of her competitors.

While promoting It Ends With Us, 36-year-old Lively couldn't resist expressing her admiration for her best friend, Swift.
