Man robbed at doorstep in daylight robbery

Police say three suspects snatched bike, cash and firearm licence

The incidents of robberies have increased in Rawalpindi where armed suspects have started snatching the valuables from the citizens at their doorsteps.

In one such incident, three armed robbers snatched a motorcycle, cash and a firearm licence from a citizen in a busy street in the Bagh-e-Sardaran area of Bani police station in broad daylight before making good their escape.

A CCTV footage of the incident has emerged, showing clear details of the crime. The captured footage reveals a citizen arriving home on a motorcycle. As the individual approaches his doorstep, three armed robbers on a motorcycle surround him. The robbers, brandishing weapons, forcibly take the motorcycle and demand cash and a wallet. Despite the ongoing activity in the street, no one intervenes to assist the victim during the robbery.

After the robbers escape with the motorcycle, Rs10,000 in cash, the firearm license, and the wallet, the victim knocks on his house door. A young family member rushes out and tries to chase the robbers but in vain. The police have registered a case based on the victim Haroon Naeem's complaint and are currently investigating, though the suspects remain at large.
