Pakistani singer Aima Baig has been hospitalised following what she described as a "mini heart attack." The news has sent ripples through the music industry and fanbase, highlighting the often-overlooked toll that a high-pressure entertainment career can take on an artist's health.

Baig took to Instagram to share the news with her millions of followers. The post included a worrying image of the singer lying in a hospital bed, connected to medical equipment.

According to Baig's statement, the incident was triggered by a perfect storm of factors common in the life of a touring musician: stress, sleep deprivation, constant travel, insomnia, and chronic fatigue. These elements combined to create a dangerous cocktail that ultimately led to her hospitalisation due to severe chest pains.

"After a mini heart attack because of too much travelling with zero sleep and all nighters, flights and shows," she wrote in the post's caption. "One must never forget to pamper themselves. That's all! PS I love that you can post so many photos in a dump now yay!"

While the exact date of the incident remains undisclosed, Baig's post suggests that she is now on the path to recovery. The singer emphasised her commitment to prioritising her health moving forward, indicating a shift in her approach to managing her demanding career.

Earlier, the singer generated buzz on social media with a post on predators in Pakistani showbiz. The announcement came through her Instagram stories following her performance at a show in Jeddah and her subsequent Umrah.

In a series of posts, Baig expressed that her Umrah experience had strengthened her resolve to address issues facing women in Pakistan. "After performing my Umrah – so peacefully and to be honest I needed it so badly and it made me so strong because I know I had to do this for the betterment and the empowerment of our country's women," she wrote.

The singer revealed that she had been aware of "certain predators – cheaters – users – ruining minor to aged girls" for some time but had previously remained silent, a decision she now regrets. Baig clarified that while she wasn't necessarily speaking about herself as a victim, she was referring to women around her.

Expressing concern over the normalisation of cheating and the exploitation of women's naivety and innocence, Baig stated, "It's like cheating has become a norm and using women for their naivety, innocence, lack of sophistication is a joke."
