Usher is facing a tough choice to prioritize his health.

Just hours before his scheduled performance in Atlanta for the opening of his Past Present Future tour, the "Yeah!" singer called off the concert to focus on his well-being.

"For my 30-plus year career, 100 percent of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans," Usher wrote in a message shared to his Instagram Aug. 14. "I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight's show and schedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal."

The 45-year-old, who is also set to perform in Atlanta on August 16 and 17, stressed that his decision was ultimately in the best interest of ticket holders, stating that, "You're still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date but you'll also be getting 100 percent of me."

Emphasizing that disappointing his fans is the last thing he wants to do "who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start," Usher noted, "I wouldn't be the entertainer that I am if I can't physically give you my best."

"My team will be sharing news of the rescheduled date soon," he added. "I can't wait to celebrate this legacy with you."

After the announcement, fans rallied around Usher, noting that his 2024 Super Bowl performance, the release of his Coming Home album, and his "My Way" Las Vegas residency have undoubtedly demanded a significant amount of his energy over the past year.
