Terrorist attack thwarted near Dera Ghazi Khan border

Attack by 50 to 60 Khariji terrorists the Lakhani border post of Wahwa Police Station thwarted by Punjab police

The Punjab Police successfully repelled a terrorist attack by Khariji militants on a border post in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the incident occurred late at night when 50 to 60 Khariji terrorists launched a sudden assault on the Lakhani border post of Wahwa Police Station.

The militants attacked from all sides, aiming to overrun the post.

Utilizing thermal imaging cameras, the police quickly identified the attackers and launched a prompt counterattack using machine guns and mortar fire.

The intense response from the police forced the terrorists to retreat and flee the scene.

Punjab Police Chief Dr. Usman Anwar praised the police team for their bravery and effective action in thwarting the attack.

The officers stationed at the post will be honored with Gallantry Medals, certificates of appreciation, and cash rewards for their courageous efforts.
